JOANIE CAVANAUGH

Joanie moved from Toronto to Marmora about 12 years ago and lives and works in a century home that overlooks a 154 acre pasture with exquisite views and abundant wildlife.

Joanie is primarily self taught and has been involved in the visual arts most of her life. She has works in art co-ops and galleries in the U.S. (Missouri, New Mexico and Arizona) as well as in private collections in Canada.

She has exhibited and won awards for both her needlework (quilting and petit point and elaborate beadwork wall hangings) and her two dimensional works on paper and canvas which includes oil, watercolour, pastel and acrylic paintings and pen and ink and graphite pencil drawings.

Joanie also sculpts in wood and various plastic media (PVC and kaolin clay)
